My New Blog

I often think of Cindy Lauper and her song "Girl's Just Wanna Have Fun" when I think about where I live. I meet my friends on a whim and we head up to the Smuggler's Notch to the Upper Parking lot and we get our boots on and grab our skis and poles and hit the slopes for a half a dozen runs and then go back to work if we have to. Other seasons it is the same thing but just a different venue. For instance we bike, hike, swim or I drag my friends to the lake and we go sailing.

Vermont, it is a wonderful place to visit but it is even a better place to live.

Come see for your self and try out hiking, biking, skiing or just plain have some fun! You, me and Cindy Lauper.

Well, put your cursor over the red jeep and that should partly answer  the reason why people choose to move to rural Vermont. It's a life style choice.

We like to come home to play, to enjoy the mountains all year round, to enjoy the beautiful vistas surrounding us, to enjoy having a little more elbow room, to enjoy the small town community where life moves just a little slower.

So, come visit us here and play with us at Smuggler's Notch or hiking up the Long Trail, or snowshoeing up to Taylor Lodge, come cross country ski at many of the local trails where we mountain bike other times of the year. Or just come and enjoy the beauty of the area, the white fields of snow, an exciting slide down Casey Hill, whatever the reason, you might find it a wonderful life style.
