Town Meeting Day

Certainly an old but treasured tradition, Town Meeting Day. We gather as a community, discuss and vote on town and school budgets items.

In both Underhill and Jericho the major concerns have been keeping the budget down, level funding if possible.

In Underhill, we have long time resident and Town Treasurer, Joan Lehouiller retiring. In addition Underhill will be searching for a Town Administrator.

We all wish Joan the best of luck and she will be missed!

I love Town Meeting Day and enjoy seeing my friends and neighbors all gathered and participating in this lovely area we all come home.

Pleasant Valley Real Estate is located in scenic Pleasant Valley of Underhill Center. In this small mountain town you will see historic buildings dating back 150+ years. While the trades or businesses have changed some, you will still enjoy the enthusiasm of the towns' folks and the obvious love its residents all have of their rural town and village.

So, next time you are driving to Smuggler's Notch drive through Pleasant Valley and stop in and visit us. My real estate office sits upstairs above the Underhill Country Store .There are many wonderful things to do in our rural towns. In particular Mount Mansfield offers a host of outdoor experiences, including, but  not limited to  hiking, snowshoeing, cross country, back country and alpine skiing. In particular we are a very short drive to Smuggler's Notch Ski Area, catering to a family atmosphere.

       We are a small rural community surrounded by other small communities (Jericho, Essex, Cambridge, Jeffersonville). We live out here in rural Vermont because we enjoy the benefits of living near the Green Mountains and Lake Champlain.

Our schools are small and the student teacher ratio is low. We are an active community with much to offer in the way of outdoor adventure and enjoyment.

While it is a 40 minute drive into downtown Burlington, we are willing to drive to work because after, we come home to play.
